Background and Experience

Edward Wei is an associate with Castle & Associates. Mr. Wei’s practice area focuses on commercial litigation, entertainment law, and real property matters and his range of experience extends from claims involving breach of contract, unlawful detainers, partnership disputes, personal injury and fraud. Mr. Wei has extensive experience in all phases of civil litigation including drafting pleadings, conducting written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and engaging in motion practice including successfully obtaining provisional remedies and winning and defeating motions for summary judgment. Mr. Wei has negotiated favorable settlements at mediations and settlement conferences and he has served as trial counsel on cases in Los Angeles Superior Court and arbitration proceedings. In addition, Mr. Wei has handled several appeals in the Second Appellate District, Court of Appeals.

Mr. Wei received his Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law in May 2007 and was admitted to the California Bar in December 2007. During law school, Mr. Wei served as a law clerk at the State Bar of California and the Federal Trade Commission. Prior to attending UCLA, Mr. Wei received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Davis, where he majored in Political Science and graduated with honors.
